'You Can't Repeat a Political Trick Twice' - Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi Says After Thursday Protests

Speaking through his official X page on Thursday, the 25th of June, popular political analyst, Professor Mutahi Ngunyi, has termed the planned protests by those in the opposition and the youthful population meant to remember the slain Gen Zs during the 2024 Finance Bill protest has proven to be a waste of time.

According to Professor Mutahi Ngunyi, the protest lacked substance and it was clearly visible that there was no energy and even the numbers made it clear, since the Gen Zs were nowhere to be seen.

"Today's Protests was a total waste of our National Imagination. No energy. No people as promised. And no Gen Zs." Said the popular analyst.

In his message, Professor Mutahi Ngunyi has insisted that the outcome of the 2024 Protests can never be repeated with the energy and the vigour it once held.

According to Professor Mutahi Ngunyi, a political trick can never be repeated twice. The analyst went further to state that the 2024 Finance Bill protest was genuine, but it was a moment in time that may never be repeated or even replayed again in history.

"The Lesson is that you cannot repeat a political trick twice. June 2024 cannot be replayed ever. It was a moment in time. And it was justified. You cannot replay it." Said Professor Mutahi Ngunyi in reaction to the Thursday Protest.
