The late tycoon Kirubi become the first Kenyan to own the 2016 Mercedes Benz S Class Maybach which is worth Sh. 40 million.
Inclusive of import taxes, often turned heads, especially when it appeared at high-profile events like the launch of Two Rivers Mall, where he served as a director under Centum Investments. The sleek machine could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds.
Alongside the Maybach, he also owned a customised Bentley. Rumoured to have cost him a similar amount, the Bentley was tailored to his taste and, like all his cars, sported a signature number plate with his initials, “CK.”
